Just released from the greenville maine , moosehead lake fire dept, is this very unique 1951 dodge m-37 military powerwagon with an 8 ft bed and dual rear wheels,42105 original miles, serial # 800701, this is probably the only one like it anywhere, this setup is not original, it was very professionaly made this way and looks original, a very talented metal fabricator has lengthened the frame and the bed to 8 ft long, these trucks came with a 6'6" bed originally,a hard top was made and ladder/canoe racks, another set of leaf springs were added with helper perches, they added the dual rear wheel lug studs and nuts, i did this to a m-37 before also, you just use a rim from a 3/4 ton trailer that has a different offset for the outside rim, the fenders are thick rubber that is bolted to the original rear fenders, this setup could be removed easilly if you dont like it, needless to say this 3/4 ton truck is now rated for a lot more weight,this was the desired result to carry a water tank as this was a fire truck, the body and frame of this truck is very rust free and solid, just a little repair on each front fender below the headlight, minor, these all had that issue, the paint is nothing to brag about, does have a dent in the rr quarter and hood, i will include a nice hood with this deal, see the pictures, *************

Body is beautiful. From what I was told the truck never seen the salt. From looking under it I would have to agree. I have owned it for nearly two years and I have not driven it in the winter. The only flaws are a slight dent in the rear quarter panel and a few ultra small bubbles starting (in the paint) on the lower rears. There is no rust or advanced rust on this truck. Paint is nice and shiney.

The aircraft was taken out of service in 1993 and given a complete anti-corrosion treatment for long-time storage by the Swiss military. Aircraft is kept in dry hangar since then. It is of significant notice, that this is NOT the original British edition, but the Swiss-made version, that was made under license. There is really a big difference between the British and the Swiss version concerning the quality of the craftmanship and the numerous imnprovements even with respect to the smallest detail. The engine is a Rolls-Royce Ghost 48 Mk 1 with a remaining 250 hours. Also, this is a license built engine handcrafted by the Sulzer Brothers of Switzerland, where the assembly of the whole airframe took place. However, a hot section inspection needs to be done. Maintenance in general was done by the Swiss military under highest standards.
But for now, please read a little bit about the history of this airplane type.
Work on a substantially improved version of the Vampire, with a Ghost engine and a new thin wing, led to the de Havilland "Venom", which was built in some numbers and serving with several air arms. De Havilland also developed a much larger fighter, the twin-engine "Sea Vixen", with some configurational similarities to the Vampire / Venom. The Sea Vixen was built in relatively small numbers and served with the British Royal Navy. The Vampire was a remarkable success and an excellent aircraft, but since it was only Britain's second operational combat jet after the Gloster Meteor, there was obvious room for improvement. De Havilland engineers had been working on a more powerful centrifugal-flow engine named the "Ghost" to follow the Goblin, and also had ideas for aerodynamic refinements. A Vampire refitted with a Ghost on a trials basis broke the world altitude record in May 1947, and the Air Ministry, impressed, funded development of the improved variant, the "DH.112", originally to be designated the "Vampire FB.8". Two prototypes, conversions of Vampire FB.5s, were built, with the first flying on 2 September 1949, with John Derry at the controls. It was just in time to attend the Farnborough air show.

1979 Piper Cherokee six 300. This airplane is in good condition. The paint and interior are were refurbished 2 years ago. New glass was also installed at that time. The airplane has 6600 hours TT and approximately2000 SFOH. The engine is still running strong all compressions are the 70’s. The next annual is due October 2007. IFR Check is Due June 2008. I have other aircraft and unfortunately because this one is a single engine it is not being used enough to justify keeping it.
